The long march to playing with officially licensed Mario LEGO is another day closer and with it comes news that Mario will be able to power-up with the iconic fireball shooting Fire Mario look and recent favourites including the Propeller, Cat, and Builder suits.
It’s clear both collaborators have seen actual children play with LEGO: They encourage you to fly free with Propeller Mario, waving him around in the air like every child ever has done with a toy airplane or LEGO spaceship. Similarly, Builder Mario is all about “smashing down” to collect coins.
These costumes will be available alongside the 231 piece Super Mario Starter Course on August 1st as an add-on. Mario’s way of selling microtransactions, we guess, though the cost of these–and other supplementary sets–has yet to be unveiled.
