Gotta go fast.
Update – July 24, 2020: The blue blur’s voice actor has confirmed the release date of the film is slated for April 8, 2022.
Against all odds, the Sonic the Hedgehog movie released earlier this year, despite setbacks due to an…unfortunate design choice for the titular character and the very beginnings of the current pandemic in North America. Variety reports that it was successful enough that Paramount Pictures confirmed that a sequel is currently in the works.
Jeff Fowler is reprising his role as director, with Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher and Toru Nakahara as producers. No word on casting, release date, or even when production would begin. We can only hope Jim Carrey returns as the delightful Dr. Robotnik.
