Heavy hitters and dish washers join Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Raid Battles
Out with Charizard and Duraludon, in with Tyranitar and Dragapult.
One set of dragons is being replaced with another in this month’s Max Raid Battle change up in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
While Tyranitar and Dragapult are undeniably the stars of this set of raids, the raids are perfectly balanced, as all things should be, with fairy types such as Whimsicott and Togekiss joining the fun, while they are in turn balanced with the steel type Excadrill.
Each of those monsters will see increased spawn rates in raids through May 11th across both games. Wash Rotom will see an uptick in appearances in Pokemon Sword while Heat Rotom will see a corresponding increase in Shield.
It’s worth noting that Tyranitar is the only Pokemon among this list that is typically exclusive, in its case to Shield, so Sword players should act to capture the kaiju while they can.
