Redd, Leif, Reese, and Cyrus will all make an Animal Crossing return.
After announcing a Mario Maker 2 update, Nintendo doubled down and also detailed their plans for Animal Crossing: New World updates, bringing with them a handful of series veterans.
Leif will arrive as a vendor similar to Kicks — parking in the town square — selling seeds, plants, and shrubs for the green thumbs out there.
Redd will roll in with the tide, hiding out in his Treasure Trawler, selling high quality art and forgeries alike. It’s up to sharp eyed players to spot the difference, though, as Redd isn’t exactly forthcoming about the authenticity of the pieces.
Such a new vendor means a new opportunity for Blathers to babble on about anything as he expands the Museum, allowing for sculptures and paintings to go on display, alongside the various natural phenomena you’ve collected.
Nintendo also detailed various events with Nature Day kicking off this week rewarding players for planting trees and watering flowers. May Day will see a new mystery island (and a special visitor) while International Museum Day will encourage you to hang out at the museum checking out exhibits.
Perhaps the most involved event will be Wedding Season through the month of June. Players will be able to hop over to Harv’s Island for a photo-shoot with Reese and Cyrus. Wedding themed rewards will be on hand for the month.
