Cowboys and 8-bit looks.
A pair of mobile Mario games continue to expand their rosters in new and surprising ways.
Acknowledging the 30th anniversary of the original Dr Mario game, Dr Mario World is staffing 8-Bit Dr Mario as a free gift to players until August 30th. An additional Koopaling–Lemmy this time–joins the team as the regular new addition, making him the fifth Koopaling in the game. Presumably Morton and Iggy will be available at a later date.
Blue: "I've collected information about that doctor. Hm? Things are a bit more boxy than usual. Something about it makes me feel nostalgic. You can get this doctor as a gift instead of from staffing. Apparently that lasts until Aug. 30." #DrMarioWorld pic.twitter.com/AtU29JEWdl

Dr. Mario World regularly adds new characters of questionable medical ability including a collection of baby characters, a dolphin, and a tower of Goombas appropriately named Dr. Goomba Tower.
Mario Kart Tour is similarly obsessed with adding new characters and costumes for established avatars. The new Wild West Tour brings in a cowboy version of Wario, the addition of the adorable Nabbit (a bandit if we’ve ever seen one), and the return of the N64’s Kalimari Desert track.
It's time for the Wild West Tour! What says "Wild West" more than the N64 Kalimari Desert 2 course? Trek through the tunnel or coast along train tracks. Just ensure the sandstorm doesn't choke your engine!

Character additions have been somewhat more logical in Mario Kart Tour but we’ve been particularly happy to see Captain Toad get recognition.
