The seasonal event is shorter than real life.
If your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is in the Northern Hemisphere of the game’s world then today is your last day to gather cherry blossoms and new recipes based on the blossoms. Those blossoms can be used to craft a variety of very pink decorations–you’ll need around 100 blossoms in all to craft everything–though the DIY recipes are somewhat rare according to social media users. Our team has on average six recipes each with most of those received from shooting down balloons.
This will also mean the hardwood trees revert back to their normal selves after today. Southern Hemisphere players are likely to see the cherry blossoms sometime in October.
If you’re after more events you’re in luck: Tomorrow is the first fishing tournament for New Horizons. In past games the fishing tourney focused on catching the biggest fish in a set period of time. That’s likely to be the case here, too.
Bunny Day–love it or hate it–will wrap up this Sunday. The horrifying Zipper T. Bunny will be on hand to exchange eggs to allow players to finish crafting all of his garish creations. Complete every recipe and you will receive some extras from the bunny himself.
