The most recent DLC for Civilization VI promises vampires but delivers bugs instead. Since launching, the social media channels for the game and for publisher 2K have been slammed with complaints about game breaking glitches, mostly on console versions, and a slew of minor issues. We’ve independently verified the console issues on both Nintendo Switch and PS4.
The console releases prevent players from leaving the first era due to disabled X and Square buttons. This also means actions using shortcuts such as choosing items on the tech tree are limited to a lengthy, manual process. Other players are reporting that one or both of the new personas–for Roosevelt and Medici–are failing to load. In at least one case it appears the titular Ethiopian civilization has failed to load.
Purchases made with faith are inconsistently working though Firaxis have a workaround for PC players.
Firaxis are aware of the issues and are reportedly working on a number of hotfixes. The community has been compiling the bugs over on Reddit though if you encounter anything it’s always helpful to report it directly to 2K.
