Ushering in a new era of co-op.
Good co-op games are hard to find nowadays (remember couch co-op? Those were the days…), but It Takes Two is about to change that.
Continuing in the footsteps of their previous game A Way Out, developer Hazelight has crafted a wholly unique take on co-op gaming. Centered around Cody and May, two humans turned to dolls, the game focuses on efforts to repair their crumbling relationship. Doing so is the only chance to turn back into humans, so failure is not an option (natch!).
Many genres are represented here ranging from platforming to racing, with puzzler elements mixed in, among many others.
The best part of all this is that you and a friend can play for the price of a single game.
A unique feature of the game is the so-called Friend’s Pass, which allows a single person to purchase it and invite another friend to play, completely free! There is no single-player option.
It Takes Two will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on March 26, 2021. Sadly, no Switch port has been announced.
