A different samurai game.
In a month where seemingly everyone is playing Ghost of Tsushima, Adult Swim are banking on there being demand for a different kind of samurai game, with a very different kind of central character. Samurai Jack is back after its (second) series finale aired in 2017 with a brawler of a game to be released late next month.
A distinctive art style mirroring the show’s aesthetic and series veterans in Phil LaMarr (Jack) and Greg Baldwin (Aku) returning to voice the cast gives it a distinctly Jack feeling. The game’s descriptors promise time travel both to the past and future, a dozen weapons to change out, along with the chance to visit moments from the show’s most interesting episodes. Jack will also return with his angst-filled beard and the game promises encounters with allies such as The Scotsman, Scaramouche, and Sir Rothchild.
