An unimaginably large cosmic entity goes down easy with the right combinations.
Congratulations on surviving wave after wave of space bug, Doombot, and laser death raining down upon you. Now you’ve encountered the fully formed Celestial and you’re not sure how to crack it.
Fortunately, the Celestial isn’t a terribly hard boss to defeat once the game reveals its secrets through dialogue choices, though these take a battle to discover. If you don’t have the patience for that we’re here for you.
As the missile carrier Doombots descend on you prioritize attacking them over the standard bots. Once defeated they conveniently leave a missile behind. Get out of the way of other enemies and fire it at the Celestial. Repeat four times to stagger the boss.
By this point enemies from the Dark Dimension should have started spawning. Avoid or defeat as necessary but save the dark matter that spawns with them instead of using it on them. Use a missile to defeat the large insectoid if necessary to clear a path to the Celestial.
As the Celestial is recovering from being staggered now is the time to grab the dark matter. Wait for the Celestial to fully recover its shield and then launch the dark matter at it. Doing so prevents and reverses the Celestial from healing itself, instead dealing massive damage.
Avoid the Celestial’s attacks, particularly a super charged strike to the stage by getting to the side, and repeat the process over again as needed.
Defeating the Celestial puts you one step closer to defeating one very powerful Doctor Doom! Rest up…you’ll need it!
