Fans’ prayers have been answered.
Nintendo is dropping yet another free seasonal update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but this one contains a long-requested feature: save data transfers! Before we get to that though, let’s check out what else is going on with this new update.
As with many previous seasonal updates, new special guests will be in town on certain dates — Franklin the Turkey around Thanksgiving (for us Americans), and Jingle the Black-Nosed (not red?) Reindeer, on December 24th. More exciting, though, is the addition of some much-requested customization options. New Reactions and several new hairstyles will available now, and you can finally sit on the ground next to other villagers! Storage space in your house can also be expanded from 1800 to 2400 items maximum.
Topping off the slew of new features is save data transfer, which will (finally) allow users to transfer their entire town over to another Switch — invaluable in case of a broken Switch, or just wanting to use a Switch proper instead of Switch Lite.
The update will be available as of 11/19.
