“V” characters for the “V”th package.
Capcom announced today that Street Fighter V would be receiving additional DLC, in the form of a fifth season, though details were relatively limited. Five additional fighters and three additional stages will round out the DLC, they say, though fans will need to wait until “later this summer” to find out more.
The initial release of Street Fighter V had relatively few characters with fan favourites like Akuma, Cody, and Guile locked behind then pending DLC.
Capcom used the announcement as an opportunity to promote the Champion Edition of the game, available on PS4 and Steam, which they hail as “the most robust version” of Street Fighter V. It includes 40 characters, 34 stages, and more costumes than you could ever need at a budget price of $29.99 USD/$39.99 CAD.
