Not exactly easy listening.
Sucker Punch has a treat for everyone patiently awaiting Ghosts of Tsushima (releasing this week) — a 4-track EP containing some seriously good remixes! Titled “Sound Of The Storm – Ghost Of Tsushima Soundtrack: Reimagined”, the album features TOKiMONSTA, Tycho, The Glitch Mob, and Alessandro Cortini (of Nine Inch Nails fame). Clocking in at just under 20 minutes, it’s definitely a quick listen, but that works to its advantage, as you’ll likely have it on repeat for some time.
Coming as a surprise to nobody, Alessandro Cortini’s track is dark, brooding, and incredibly atmospheric.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, TOKiMONSTA’s remix is high-energy, with beautiful female vocals and big brassy instrumentation.
Tycho, doing what he does best, turns his chosen track into a wonderfully chill experience. Nothing that would be described as ‘danceable’, but certainly re-listenable and relaxing.
Last but not least, Glitch Mob knocks it out of the park with some incredible glitch-inspired (who’d’ve guessed?) music, based on the Saikuron track on the original soundtrack.
Each artist did an amazing job with of their tracks, imparting their own unique and immediately recognizable styles onto each and every one. The album is available for download from Amazon Music.
