In a world of remote work and remote learning, screen recording is a useful feature, but all too often buried behind settings and hidden away. On iPhone you may need to get lost in some menus to enable screen recording but once you’ve made it out things are as easy as they can be!
Head to settings
In your settings you’ll need to find Control Center.
From there, you’ll want to click “Customize Controls” and enable the screen record feature under “Include”.
Swipe up
Any time you want to screen record from here on out swipe to access your Control Center.
Tip: When screen recording consider activating “Do not disturb” by clicking the moon icon. This will prevent notifications from interfering with your video.
Tap the dot surrounded by a circle icon (bottom left of screenshot below) to start immediately recording.
Holding down the screen record icon will bring up a separate menu that allows you to include your microphone if you so choose. This is handy if you’re submitting an assignment to a teacher or need to do a tutorial on an app for someone that’s learning it.
If you want to cancel or end the recording at any time click the red bar at the top of your screen. Recordings will save to your photos.
