After being tranquilized, though.
Bruno the bear has been racking up headlines from local media across the Midwestern United States for the past several weeks and drawn the attention of more than 150,000 Facebook followers.
The bear, a black bear, was first spotted in Wisconsin, before wandering to Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri, where its journey came to an end.
According to The Telegraph, the bear was trapped and tranquilized in St Charles County, before being safely relocated.
Historically, black bears spanned the North American continent, but their range has decreased largely to Canada and the northwestern part of the United States. Male black bears are known to have a migratory range of around 100km-200km — it’s estimated Bruno traveled more than 600km (400 miles).
