The Original 151 are up.
Original Stitch, the company that makes the Pokemon line of dress shirts and polos, is dipping its toes into the non-medical mask market now.
The masks–which are described as a “fashion item” and “not intended to prevent infectious disease”–retail for $18 USD but carry a steep shipping fee of $15. (Numerous discount codes and combined shipping offers regularly float around the web thanks to Original Stitch and ordering five or more dishes up free shipping.)
Only the first 151 patterns are available for the masks despite the Johto patterns being available for the shirts and polos. White, black, pink, or blue fabrics are the options available for the mask interior which, frankly, no one will see.
Masks can be finicky when choosing appropriate fabrics so patterns that repeat frequently are a better fit for such a small surface. Avoid patterns with several design aspects such as Ditto, Kangaskhan, or Paras, as there is no guarantee which part of the swatch you’ll receive on the mask.
Original Stitch’s designs aren’t cheap, with shirts starting around $85 a pop, and as of now are only available in Japan, United States, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, India, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
